I am definitely snobby about rope abuse. If you throw your brand new rope down in the dirt and complain about how your last one didn't hold up very well i am going to judge you. When you pull your rope, if you keep pulling it down into one big coil, loop after loop after loop, and then complain on the next belay that your rope has always been kinky since it was new - i am going to judge you. If for some odd and unnecessary reason you rappel way off to the side, and then king swing and shred your rope over a bunch of sharp features - i am going to judge you. |
