Not the best of MP, but I remember climbing this route (rated 5.8 at the time) and barely scraping by what felt like a 5.11 crux.

Most people in the comments seem to agree

Thankfully there's an Instagram account dedicated to this same topic for our friends over at UK Climbing.

Lol, I put that route up. Sorry for the sandbag, we rated it 5.9+ if I remember right.

I am pretty sure my most liked comment is "Code Rider." Don't know what that says about me or you all. I can't find it tho? I could swear it had at least 150 likes.

From Buster Hymen at Thunder Ridge

"Looks like a pretty cool climb from the ground. Too bad some immature juvenile frat boy named it, because now my wife will never belay me on it. Oct 18, 2008"

Haha that is hilarious! It's good to be sandbagged sometimes to remind everyone that grades don't matter.

5.9+ works because when I see that grade I typically think "This could be hard 5.9, might feel like a 5.11, who knows"

Redacted to not grade shame. Just always enjoy the "impossible" comments on easier well trafficked climbs lol.

From my friend whose ticks I regularly check for this sort of nugget of wisdom

If v2 is someone’s limit I’d wager spacklehead is damn near impossible

If you happen to fall ill with dysentery it serves as a good reminder that there somehow is more crap in the world than what is currently coming out of you.

Here are a couple I have run across:

For some of the boulders at quartz mountain the getting there section simply says: Get out of your car.

A boulder problem that I can’t remember where it was located but the beta for protection always stuck with me: pillowy buttocks

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
