MP removed Skaggs C's post "Dark omen ... but my guess is he wont be around to give it a name ... free solo death this winter. " Skaggs may be a bit rough in saying it's gonna be this winter, but he's got a valid and true point: Soloists tend to die soloing. Just off the top of my head: Hearsy, Bachar, Rearden, Steck, Gobright, Christens, etc. And most of you can add names to the list. For MP to remove his post is bullshit. When does stating the truth violate Guideline #1? |

Reardon was most likely swept away by a wave.... I believe he was alone Hersey is the spelling |

John Byrnes wrote: Brad died rappelling. So, strike that one. More to the point, though, it's just CREEPY to forecast someone's death like that. And we don't even really know how much soloing, if any, Alex is doing right now. |

Gotta be in it to win it I guess. I'll take Charles Honnold, after his dad. |

Andrew Rice wrote: Right, Brad died rappelling; my bad. But my point, that no one has addressed, is that MP removed Skaggs post. CREEPY does not violate guideline #1. Nor does expecting a soloist to die prematurely because it has happened often enough to see the pattern. Evidently that doesn't bother MP minions. |
