people may not know... but Shawn, despite crippling kleptomania, was cool. He had energy, he was pumped....he had 3 minutes in the Huber Bros. film!  It's sad to me to see that he has chosen this path, this story, to live and be his legacy. Shawn, if you read this, just stop brother, and come on home. It's never too late...You're 51 years old... you had your day... now let the kids have theirs.

I had the thought that this already would have ended badly a few decades ago.

And local authorities need to understand that the possibility becomes an inevitability if they don't manage to use the law to stop him.

Seems that OR firearm laws allow for carry within state parks... interesting that Mr. Snyder doesn't seem too concerned about that.

I know exactly what a hammer swung at my head would be met with. Feel bad for Mr Collins - he's certainly a much gentler soul than me.

Not defend perse, just trying to get the straight story amid the internet hysteria. Shawn told me he will not stop making rebar ladders until climbers clean up their act. It's a protest of the free-for-all bolting.

Like I said before to stop Shawn you will have to get him on something illegal, beating him up, breaking his car, etc will not stop him or even slow him down, it will only strengthen his resolve. He is on a mission from God (or elsewhere).

I, too, swing a hammer at someone's head when they ask me to stop my "protest."

Is this Shawn's mommy and daddy?

He's going to wild places and using a power drill to install a ladder, just like everyone else is. Accelerating something already in motion to try to bring attention and stop it more quickly

I'm just relaying what I was told, in case there's any confusion. Your whales analogy was way close but I thought I'd throw one out about ladders

since you didn't quote, not sure if you're replying to me or not... but I'm curious, since a hammer to the skull would most likely kill you, how would you suggest defending ones self from a yahoo swinging a hammer at their head?
