That whole second pitch is one big chock stone, almost  as hazardous as the peanut gallery.

One film on it by the female sponsored climber stated it was like 100,000lbs or something in weight. I usually err on the side of safety, but I'd feel pretty confident that any force I would generate wouldn't move a 100,000 lb block of stone thats been set in place.

Am I foolish to think so? Is there documented evidence of stones this size being displaced by a climber? Is sandstone  more likely to break off massive pieces this size with minimal movement?

Is it the Scottish accent?

No, it was the eye rolling assessment of Run For Your Life.

Just watched this and the PSP video back to back.  Really cool video by Tom and Pete.  You can see the chopped/patched bolt hole around 3:30.  Best line from the PSP video, "then climb it without clipping the bolt and report back to us."

No link but free on Prime Video right now include a bunch of lesser-known climbing and trad videos including:
-Adaptive
-Wide Boyz (1 and 2)
-Africa Fusion
-On the Verge
-Dirtbag (Fred Becky)

plus a bunch I have never heard of

Cool video, bad music. Why did she stop at the lip?

I stand corrected, regardless, unless you wanted to walk off it would be way easier on your rope to clean from an anchor at the lip as opposed to one right at the top of the crack.

Just have someone build an anchor up top and belay someone up to clean it.

Is there a video of Mason Earle sending his Bartlett Wash project? There's a short piece from EpicTV about it, and I think it might have been part of the movie Exposure (which I can't find either).

Edit: the route is called Stranger than Fiction mountainproject.com/route/1…;

Edit  oh wait they are different. I think this is the only clip I’ve seen of it

Also for the mason earle video there's a site called Echoboom which you can sign up for a free trial in and it has exposure vol 1 & 2 which are both pretty great

Man, I love watching videos of Mason Earle climbing, but it also really bums me out given his current circumstances.

Seems he has some sort of spinal issue and needs surgery. Unfortunate timing.
