Anywhere within a reasonable drive from a big city, please don’t. Young people can still get sick, and even require ICU care, and if the local 3-bed ICU is full up, not only does someone need a helicopter ride but then the bird has to get decontaminated so it’s out of commission for hours... etc etc.

If you’re gonna go boulder/TR solo/group of 2 climbers somewhere hella obscure, great. I’m gonna do the same as soon as the weather and my shifts overlap. Bishop is NOT that place.

Are you sure as an erectile dysfunction dr. You should be giving out advice on covid-19?

Yeah I heard, plus they’re canceling cruise ships(yay! Haha). We need to get a wiring harness, which is not available through regular parts stores, but I also just need the diagram and I should be able to fix it myself. Mostly just concerned with getting the boot from where we are. Seems like they closed down the state parks around, and most of the forest service roads won’t be open for a little since it’s still early spring. I just hope this blows over quick and I can fix my van and get back to work. Miss y’all up there!

Let me know what you find, I have a 2001 Shagstro that has a ground that I cannot find. I installed a transfer switch to easily cutoff the battery so it doesn't drain overnight. Good luck finding and fixing this, I troubleshot this for months and finally gave into the workaround.

I'm digging this whole social distancing thing and I realized that I've been doing it since before it was cool.

Most people are seriously gross and for whatever reason really want to be within 3 ft of you just to talk. What's the deal with that? I'm a "stay 6 ft back" before, now, and forever kind of guy.

I'm full germaphobe now and feeling quite smug about it

Do you top rope solo with a partner during normal times?

You probably don’t need a new wiring harness.  Find the broken/grounded wire and slap a butt connector on it.  There’s plenty of people on this site that know how to fix shit in addition to climbing rocks.  Start a thread, post some pics and watch the free mechanical advice roll in.

This is a virus, it doesn’t leave because everyone’s separated, it will always be a part of our cells and can be activated for those that are infected.

There is no evidence the virus becomes dormant and will lie in wait for a social gathering.  Follow me in this thought experiment.  Person A has the virus and is separated from Person B.  Person A with a functioning immune system recovers by his/her immune response and destroys the virus.  Person A can no longer infect Person B.  If Person A interacts with Person B before getting rid of the virus, what happens?

These are hard times, and even dick doctors gotta contribute. The Italians are actually using viagra for sick CoVID patients—it’s a pulmonary vasodilator.

(On the off chance you weren’t joking, and for anyone else, ED is ER, because it’s a whole department and not a single room)

I checked the fuses, nothing blown. Ripped dash apart, there is one small wire in a cluster of wires that go into the Ignition switch that has burnt up. A lot of the other wires got burnt but luckily nothing else showed bare wire beside this one. The smoking happened after driving for many hours and has stopped when the key is in the off position. I pulled the wire(which is a 2ft piece going from one connector to the next) and haven’t seen any smoke yet but am nervous to keep driving not knowing what the wire does or why it shorted out in the first place. Thanks for the advice y’all if someone happened to have a wiring diagram for the ignition switch in a 2004 Astro/safari that wold be rad. Since cars have so many clusters of wires and they go everywhere it’s pretty hard to trace a wire and much easier to just read a diagram. To add to the confusion I can’t find a single thing that does not work since pulling the wire.

If you are going to say things that are wrong... you can at least put your level of education and speciality.

But hey, not a epidemiologist ether. Just a man whoese sister is immune supressed.

Keep this shit to yourself.

Im not trying to be a dick here, but the only true part of your statement is that you're ok to be backlashed.

Have you considered it might be nobody wants to come near you?

If the car is running fine, no codes and all essential electronics work, you are good to send it.

It's the other way around, they come too close to me! That's why I'm such a dick, to repel sport climbers but they just eat it up and come closer. What's the deal?!

They feel the need for everyone to like them.

Not true about Italy,

Crags are not closed but we are forced home so, if going to a crag, we risk serious penal consequences if found travelling for no good reason. Result: nobody goes climbing. But orgs are definitely not closed.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
