Projects? Dreams? Aspirations? (I'll take anything, I'm really bored right now.)

Longer days and warmer temps opening up lots of possibilities. Hoping to start by finishing off some ongoing mini-proj's up around the flatirons

Coming back from a bad ankle sprain, and am psyched to get out to a bunch of projects this May in Leavenworth WA!  Things I have always wanted to climb but have never had the strength for...

So I am excited to train for that uninjured hah

Been really focusing on leading inside to help the mental game. Last summer, I was convinced I'd get my first outdoor 12, and ended up flailing on it multiple days. I have all my beta written down so I can review it in the spring and hopefully not spend too much time re-learning it.

On a non-climbing note, just had my first Jackson Hole experience. My goal for this ski season was to prep for this trip and ski Corbet's Couloir. Found some small drops locally to practice with steep entries. Had a good weekend in Jackson and did two drops into Corbets on my last day. First one wasn't super clean. Stomped the second one and have been riding that high for a few days while recovering from the stomach flu.

Overall, I'm psyched I've gotten a good group of partners together, psyched at how my ski season is going, psyched I took my AIARE 1 this winter, and psyched that I've made this progress in these sports I started just a few years ago. As much as I tend to berate myself day-to-day for not performing as well as I may like, I'm still excited.

Going to the Creek for the first time in about a week! Pushing myself on easy-to-protect cracks kinda feels like a guilty pleasure—I just love the combination of flow and pump, getting to place gear without having to worry too much about it, the inherent security of a good jam... There are certainly other kinds of climbing I’d benefit more from working on, but I can’t think of any that feel as good right now.

Trying to use the trip as an incentive to accomplish a bunch of annoying non-climbing life things in the next week and a half as it would be really nice to head out without having to worry as much about those things.

Getting back to climbing after not climbing for 4 years because of bad back.
I hope this surgery I just had works so I can climb again!

Starting to chisel through Dru Mack's ten 10s to do at the Red to improve at the grade. This year's goal is to send 11a and building up mileage by getting through that list is step 1 for me.

Unless, of course, I get drawn for 24HHH--then it'll be endurance training until then. Guess the good thing is that the Red isn't too bad of a spot for that...

Moonlight Buttress next weekend! It’ll be the culmination of a long training cycle for power-endurance and lockoff strength.

Don’t worry warm weather is just around the corner and will take care of it according to Trump.

Trying to break into the 11s this season. Pretty stoked about that!
