I call BS on this story...too unbelievable for me. Don't care if R&I took the bait. |

So sad. It wasn't just a rack, it was a birthday gift! |

Josh Rymer wrote: You said he had a red shirt, as well dark hair and a beard. Was it this fella by any chance? What?! Did you just pick out some dude with a red shirt and beard to blast as a suspect? I'm sure the culprit only wears red shirts...Can't believe your post of some redshirt guy got 12 thumbs up. |

Can we for real start a post to donate some cans to this kid? I will gladly |

This is a troll. I’ll give this guy a double rack if it isn’t. |

The author simply read this thread and published an eye catching subject line. There is not a word of extra information more than what we could gather from this thread ourselves. Why not just post a link to this thread and call it a day?! The victim's number has been posted since day one. Did they even try to call him to seek more information? I'd be embarrassed with this low level of reporting quality if I were the magazine. As for the case itself, I feel that if more details about the individual are provided, given that it might not be a huge pool of climbers who feel comfortable to free solo a 5.6 multi-pitch, and if the story is spread wider among the community, it is not impossible to lead to the culprit. I feel for the young climber. |

This shouldn't be "call me" it should be "call the police officer in charge of this case who took the police report"... |

How did you finish the climb and rap off the flatiron, after your gear was stolen? |
