So that begs the question - Which state is the best for climbing? Tell us whatyour favorite state to climb in is and why! (Stoned, zen, in denial, etc is not the type of state I am looking for here.)
Don’t be butthurt bro, I’ll give you a warm hug next time I see you. Rest them old bones so you can dispatch Tagger this weekend. Don’t be wasting your time on trivial issues like this.
The Gulf of Mexico is considered by most people to be part of the east coast it sure as hell isnt west. Generally the country’s divided into east coast Midwest and West coast.
Utah's the best place to climb because it's possible to climb the best sandstone in the world before breakfast, scale insane granite by lunch, and play on beautiful limestone before dinner.
Also there's not as many butt-hurt climbers here as there are in other states. (You all know where I'm talking about)

Indulge me, since you’re playing, how would that day look like? At which crags would you climb that day?

Depends on what sandstone you’re after. My experience the south has the best boulders but Utah definitely has the splitters

I would pay you real American dollars to walk around Louisiana and film yourself asking random people if they enjoy living on the east coast.
Louisiana is part of the Gulf Coast and/or Deep South.

If you wanted the best sport climbing you'd want to live somewhere like Huntington, WV or Lexington, KY, or Chattanooga, TN. Basically within that region of the country with access to the NRG, RRG, and crags in Tennessee.
Show me even one person who's moved to Huntington, WV for the "best sport climbing" access.

Logan Canyon or American Fork for limestone, Drive 1.5 hours to Little Cottonwood Canyon for Granite then drive 3-4 hours to Zion, Moab, or whatever tickles your fancy in Southern Utah.
