If it makes you feel better.  Look all I’m saying is in the same way I would confront a claim from a Gumby stating he/she onsighted something only having to take two or three times, population alarmists simply don’t understand what they are talking about.

The assertion that overpopulation is a problem for the planet is based on flawed methodology.  It completely ignores advances in agricultural technology and laughably confines its basis to a belief that human carrying capticity is relegated to the natural properties of our ecosystems.  Theres never been anything natural about that has inhibited or deterred human growth and survival and there is no conclusive evidence that can form a prediction of human population cap.

Cool. Would you also like to tell me that the earth is flat?

Is it cool if we fuck like rabbits at changalang's place and then dump all the babies and responsibilities on him? Asking for a friend...

Yes but your argument completely revolves around the idea that technology will continue to evolve at the pace it is today when we have an administration that continually rebuffs science.

If we don’t believe the science to tell us what technology needs to solve then we are fucked.

I  And I don’t like waiting in line for routes!

Plus it doesn’t take into account that we can’t seem to get along with each other.

Amen.  Sure am glad that all those new gyms are open though, and the revenues for those gear companies are going up exponentially.  Thanks for "growing the sport" gyms, pros and gear companies!  Actually, the pros are the only ones that I think are justified in wanting pro sports money for doing rad shit and putting their ass on the line and helping push gear to consumers.  And they still don't make real "pro $$".  Still though, that's awesome that you don't have to wait in line for 5.15.  The rest of us mortals though have to wade through seas of gumbies and their shit strewn everywhere going bolt to bolt on 5.12b for two goddamn hours and forget about warming up, or having some fucking peace and quiet.  Drones, clueless spray, speakers, dogs, babies, oh my.  Seriously.  Maybe it had just been a while since I'd been to a destination sporto crag, and I tend to go when it's cold, but holy Jesus the last time I went I just stayed pissed and disgusted the entire time.  Never in my life have I been so motivated to climb harder and do scary gear routes or hike miles in somewhere to avoid that type of shitshow.

So, yeah, I'm all for anything that eases that edge, including a drastic population reduction.  Besides, as a species, we've kind of blown it anyway.  Rape, war,  genocide, child molestation, corporate greed, racism, narcissism, consumerism, social media and fucking manufacturing routes.  Bring on the plague.  It's only a matter of time before we're wiped out.  Either by a nuclear disaster, AI, bio or chemical warfare, or something else we've created.  We are the only species on the planet that willingly and consciously destroys ourselves, each other and our environment at an increasingly reckless and rapid pace.  I have to wonder what those that defend the human race actually see in it.  As a whole, the intellectual monkeys are kind of repugnant.

Don't worry, the anti-vax morons are actively working on it.

It is a fact that more humans require more resources.  It is also a fact that as human population has increased, so has the impact that population has had on the earth, its resources, and its other species.

Would you like to address those facts?

First, it’s not an opinion, it’s an observation that’s obviously proven because we are here.  Human pop cap is not limited by resources or natural occurring properties of our habitat. If it was, why has Chinas pop grown so much?  It’s simply a flawed way of predicting pop cap.  Not really sure how the reality of it can be contested.  Humans survival and growth capability is not limited by natural resources and habitat and is apparent simply by observing our history.

Second, how do the events you listed make an argument for forced limits on population?

If the Chinese and Indian populations enjoyed the standard of living of the USA (meat consumption and CO2 emission) the Earth would be uninhabitable in just a few years choking on our waste. This is a verifiable scientific fact.

Maybe these fucking wankers can actually look that up instead of reciting pablum from the back of an cereal box where they seem to get their opinions.

Yeah, I mean that’s a cool reply I guess.  And I get man, I really do.  I totally get the sarcasm and all that, but the dude who is like “let’s sterilize all males at age 5”, why does it seem like the consensus is that that comment doesn’t deserve criticism, but my criticism of it gets ragged on?  Should I just assume in the future that those type of comments have to be sarcastic because of how outlandish they are?

His speculation makes sense, yours not so much.
