I agree with this sentiment. You people should be ashamed of yourselves.

I'm glad you found the dog Sarah

You are correct Marc, your comment seemed appropriate. Its mainly the two photos of possible predators I find inappropriate and juvenile.

No, your comment was more like telling someone they should’ve taken better care of themselves when they just found out they got cancer. Might be true, but you really should just keep your infinitly wise mouth shut.

While it may be funny to you, consider that this woman was probably very distraught about her missing dog and checking this thread in case someone had any information. You posted a photo of a potential predator insinuating that her dog was eaten alive. Think about how that made her feel Greg. It added nothing to the thread and was purposely designed to hurt a stranger.

I'm glad you got your dog back but using terms like "stolen" and "dog napper" seem pretty extreme given that it's most likely your dog wandered off and was picked up by someone who, thankfully, took it home rather than leave it at the mercy of, you know, all those things in the pictures above.

Yea Yosemite, Sierra East Side, Joshua Tree, and perfect weather. This place def sucks.

No no no! Smog, smoke from fires, terrible traffic jams, lines on every route, lousy rock, bugs, lions and tigers and bears!

NO, California is not place to visit, or move to. Stay where you are, wherever that is, it's better than here. I mean there.

Touche'.  However, the dog is safe and found now, so it's fair game.  If the dog had been leashed, I doubt it would have happened. If it was leashed then this comment is void.  Proclaiming that the dog was "stolen", and that it had happened before was very telling.  "So you're saying you come here often?  Never leash your dog?  Not a quick learner?"   My guess is someone thought the dog was lost because it had wandered away from it's owner.  It has happened to my dog, in my own neighborhood, on my own street.  I'm running around looking for him, and he's chilling with my neighbor eating treats.  It's not "dog knapping", it's usually just a mistake on the owners part.

sarah janin wrote: Why would someone steal my dog?? I have the perfect crag dog who loves people, dogs and kids. He is "Gonzo" a white small 14 pound Chihuahua Jack Russell mix. I wish people weren't so ignorant at crags as this has happened before when standing in front of me, someone had the nerve to ask where this dog came from as he picked him up and begun to walk away with him. WTF!! I want my dog back now!!! If you have any information regarding this dog knapper please call Sarah Janin at 970-306-2358 And no I was not multi pitching. He was missing for seconds while I attempted my project and gone in a blink of an eye. Please help me find Gonzo!

I know someone with 3 kids.  All 3 supposedly while on the pill.  FIrst time I felt sorry for her.  Second time I was pretty skeptical.  3rd time I wondered who the dumb one was.
Maybe this time you can figure out how to prevent this instead of pitching a fit online with unsupported accusations.

And likewise, there are no perfect crag dogs. A perfect crag dog is not susceptible to theft or to running off, either one.
Whilst this particular dog might be relatively faultless with regards to its disappearance, but it sounds like he has some owner issues to deal with.

You'll have that...

There's a world of shit wrong with this and it has nothing to do with the supposed theft of this dog.
Berating the climbing community for doing something that was more likely (if at all) committed by non climbers is a start. The woman has some issues that should be left at home , including the dog.

Jesus man. Take some Prozac.

You take a dog that size into the woods and leave it unattended you better be god damn ready to accept a cougar might get it.

We are the ones who really cared. We bumped this thread to the top so that people would see it and Gonzo could be found. You're welcome.

Taking someone's pet is pretty low did they have a good explanation when they gave you your friend back?
