New update, I was able to download photos! It said download successful. But still, no photos appear. But I did download something And it seems that I have photos now. Multiple series of logging out, closing out, deleting, redownloading, etc... appears to do the trick. Just had to figure out the correct sequence to the puzzle.

The new area map thing is way cool. Super helpful for densely developed areas. Also the new search feature is great. The old one was a giant PITA.

Hmmm...I still can't download a single photo. Which makes the situation worse than it was yesterday. Doesn't matter what area I try to download, no images will show up.

I actually love the new app. The only issue now that I see is, when new routes or areas are entered, do I need to uninstall the state and re-download? "How do I keep up with current development in the areas of my interest?"

We got it to work on iOS but the android version is still pretty useless at the moment.

We'll look at Android photos tomorrow at the office where all our Android devices are located... sorry for the trouble.

From what I can see the iOS version does look rad. I just have a couple trips coming up real soon and we were greatly relying on MP for several reasons. And since I deleted the app I now lost the info I once had, which is frustrating since its the main source of info for said trip.

I just installed the new app, since I couldn't see any pictures. Now I have to download entire states? If I want the data for Shuteye Ridge I now need to download (and have space for on my phone) the entire state of Cali? All 24,557 routes? That would be a bummer. Or am I missing something?

I bummed at having to use so much phone memory for an entire state as well!!!

I think it has too many clicks to get anywhere. For example for me to get to a specific route at smith it took 10 taps. TEN!! I would like the option to bookmark a certain area and keep that on the front screen. I may not want to sort through the RRG's 1600 routes. Sure maybe I have them all downloaded, but I might want a shortcut to JUST the motherlode without having to click Kentucky-RRG-bald rock-motherlode-undertow-route. I want a shortcut on the front page of the app so I can put a bookmark at undertow wall, then one click and it opens that wall! It would also be nice to download smaller sub-sections instead of entire states.
My last gripe would be that swiping backwards takes you to whatever page you were at last. To me personally, it would be more intuitive to have a back swipe be to move up a level at a crag. Go from a route, back swipe to wall, back swipe to crag, region, etc.

About bookmarks, we feel the improvements to To-Dos, that are sorted by location right from the home screen, serves that purpose well and integrates to the web site. Bookmarks seemed highly redundant. We appreciate the feedback and welcome more.

I guess the app updated automatically on my iOS phone. It was only when I got out to Lover's Leap that I noticed the new version, and the fact that all my downloaded areas had been deleted from my phone. Then I discovered I would have to download the entire state of California. Which I tried to do but it took so long that I gave up. Bummer. Not sure how you could remedy this sort of problem in the future, maybe not change too many things at once?

Photos should be fixed. You will need to delete data packs and re-download them. This mostly affects Android, since the new iOS version that was release Friday uses different code.

I noticed areas are alphabetized oddly in this sense: areas that begin with "the" are under "t" rather than the word that follows. Eg "The Spiders Web" is under "t", not "s". Edited to add: The web site correctly alphabetizes areas. For example, "The Spiders Web" shows up as "Spiders Web, The" in the area listings.

Deleting my state and reinstalling it didn't work for me in iOS 10.3.2. Joe's advice worked for me. I logged out, deleted the app, reinstalled the app, logged in, and redownloaded the area. After this I was able to download images.
