Define an "Artist"
|
|
These days... |
|
|
To me, an artist is someone who adds their creative and unique touch to the activity they participate in. In my opinion they do not need to physically create something new, yet if they can engage in a sport/hobby in a way that is stylish and appealing to the eye of others, they are creating art. |

So Dylan, Art is in the eye of the beholder? I do agree... |

Where is the distinction made in your eyes between artist and artisan? Furniture maker creates and builds something, artist? I think so. I think it is a way of looking at the world, yea maybe it is a loose use of the term, but who cares. Climbers can be artistic, there is creativity involved, does being artistic make you an artist? If a painter does not make his own canvas, is he an artist? Climbing is definitely an art, the climb, the line is the art, and one could argue the rock is as well. |

YOU are full of shit winston. Ryan W. I like. I shall abandon art for the wife beater that winston wears |

Define an artist. Okay, no problem. Artist: |

Guarantee you Ari that Pudge the douche bag is better with his skill saw and mallet than you could ever be with that guitar of yours. 4) One who is adept at something, in your wildest dreams, go half ass some more activities in your life and post the photos on MP, your 5.9 RRG climbing is not only incredibly impressive but totally extreme, maybe even artistic? |

20k...I somehow knew you would bring out the dictionary.... |

Today i took a shit in the woods. As always, i didn't use toilet paper. I used smooth river rocks. Somethings to add my own unique touch a use a quart crystal here and there. Maybe even a stick or two... Behold my art bitches |

Thank you Matt. I was looking for humor with the question. |
