While cleaning road rash roof in the dark today, somehow a biner came off of an Alpine draw and may still be attached to a hanger? We looked but couldn't see it with our headlamps and didn't notice it was missing until we were down... If you find it and get it back to me theres a 6 pack waiting for ya'. It could also be around the base of the route somewhere but we never heard it hit the ground...

We're posting messages asking for individual carabiners to be returned now? Isn't a decent sixer about the price of the biner?

I lost a couple project draws a few weeks back, there's a new car waiting for whoever returns them.

Ill give you a biner for a 6 pack. Or was this particular biner in some way magical? At this point, it is probably with lockers blue lighter in a file called no one gives a shit.

While we're at it, I lost my knife somewhere on the Culp-Bossier route in RMNP. Help a brother out, and I'll put you on my list of bros whose ropes I won't threaten to cut. Grazzie mille.

It probably had sentimental value or else I doubt he would care.

What are you peoples problems? If somebody posts up about a lost piece of gear, what is it to you? There are plenty of use who would like to get said gear back to the owner if only we knew whose it was. We are not all dickheads. Even if one is a little silly in your eyes, leave it be.

Sprague, I agree , and apologies if I came across as a jerk . I guess I am just curious at the whole phenomenon of asking for gear back. So I'd like to be enlightened. Say I found the lost carabiner . I seek out the previous owner , we exchange messages / shipping addresses , I mail the carabiner back , he mails me a six pack ? All for a carabiner , or quick draw , or stopper ? I just don't get it !

I'd like my six-pack returned. I lost it some years ago, so sad.

Lost (partner dropped) some of my nuts on South Crack over the 4th weekend. Post-climb booty-hunt only found one. If someone finds a couple DMM nuts marked with green and orange, feel free to mail them to me for sentimental reasons and I'll overpay you with good karma. ;) They're way more sentimental than a biner; because well, they're my nuts.

The biner could have been his partner's who passed away climbing, or inherited from a family member, or anything else. What does it matter to you? Why is everyone always such a dick?

Well...no one cares really. The biner is gone. If it was a very special biner he should have said so. Now...climbing on your dead partner's gear would be kinda odd to me. I wouldn't do it. Let it go you will not get your biner back. Although you may booty one in the near future which will make you feel like a part of the club.
