What is YOUR definition of 'send'?

Truth as I see it: unless you are a 8a.nu top 20 type of guy, nobody cares what you tick, send, don't send, toprope, flub, brownpoint, redpoint, headpoint, pinkpoint, stickclip up, place gear on, clip, dab, or aid up.

It only matters to you, so call it whatever you want to when you talk to yourself. But spare everyone else from any claims about any of it, since nobody gives a damn (even climbers).

Of course I am only referring to sport climbing, "safe" trad and non-highball bouldering - if you do something genuinely scary or stupid or epic then of course everyone wants to hear about it.

Am I wrong? Does anyone care when someone "sends" their super-rehearsed 5.11 or 5.12 sport route, regardless of style?

It used to mean to ascend in good style.

Now with the participation trophy generation, it has no meaning.
