The nice thing about wag bags is that they come with a hand sanitizer wipe and a little TP. You may want to bring some extra TP though. Just throw the wipe and TP in the wag bag and pack it out as a package.

Re: privacy -- it's amazing how convenient wag bags are .. you just squat over the bag and do your business. Yes, people might see you wipe.

If you really have to go on the route on the way up, then it will probably be dark, cold and windy and nobody will care. On the descent there will be light enough to see, but everyone will be tired and concerned with nothing more than putting one foot in front of the other to get back to camp.

Wag bags. Some high use areas encourage throwing the shit in a crevasse and packing out the paper. I don't know about Rainier. I prefer wag bags.

I took a dump in a stand of trees while backcountry skiing... I was holding on to a branch which received just enough motion from my bodyweight to send all the snow crashing down onto me from the entire tree... I was laughing and freezing.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
