The excitement of knowing you may be the author of your own death is more intense than orgasm!

Girls love sweaty, un-shaven, un-showered guys who have bloody, chalk-covered hands; more important things to do on the weekend than spend time with them; and no money to do anything other than climb. I climb to get laid. Doesn't everyone?

yes, but then you have the arguments about the grade. a 5.10 is harder if done while copulating but is it a full number grade harder or just a letter grade? does it get an X-rating? and, does it get more stars if done while having sex? does the quality of the sex affect the rating? and, what do we do about free-solos? do we just add a 'desperate' description to the rating?

some MPers really, REALLY need to get laid.

lots of ways to have fun outside: kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding, surfing, etc....but the ol' right hand just doesn't get the job done.

by the way, your girl isn't giving you grief because she is losing out on sex...it's time with her that she wants. Figure out a way to get both.

This is great I new this thread would get peoples attention. For the record my question was not really about my current situation as much as it was a general question. My current girl is super understanding about how much I need to climb, and I can't complain about how often I get laid so right now I'm not in a bad spot, but I just wanted to know how many other people choose climbing over other things most people would never pass up. Keep those replys comming this really is good stuff

Both. I'm with Tracy - why choose? Though sometimes both opportunities aren't available.

Paul really nailed it - the amount of time you spend with your significant other is important.

Neither beats the satisfaction of a badly needed dump...or pee.

Wow now that should take the thread in an interesting direction!

Of course the women can have their cake and eat it too....

Boys, boys, boys - what a sad existence when you have to choose between sex and climbing.

I agree with Legs and Kat on this one - why not have both. Getting a little loving at the base of a climb is one of the perks of being married to a man that climbs.

I haven't really checked the numbers recently but I'm pretty sure that climbing is still predominantly a sausage fest sport, demographically speaking. So availability sometimes makes the choice for you.
