You mean Pine is actually getting snow this year? I'm getting pounded; I'm an upslope magnet

Hiya Mono! In rough sequence: working to get ready for a trip, Outa town for a week, including a dismal but fun failure on Lunar X in Zion, Mom's 80th in Salt Lake, working and catch up, hiding from Mike McHugh for neurotic reasons, and developing a Facebook addiction...where I can spray at a crowd that is bigger and divided 50/50! Do you ice climb or rock train when it gets cold? BTW, there are about 6 inches in Broomfield.

I have to put on snowshoes to check the propane & furnace -- all hail the pellet. March/April is early this year. I think I'll start a LOTR marathon, the extendeds

Is it getting cold? Seems like conditions are finally getting good at Rifle :) I climb on rock year round (with 2-4 week breaks to train). There's almost always someplace warm enought to climb, especially in Colorado.

Mono, since my climbing re-set, I'll have to look out for those warm crags! Amy, would you tell Rich I'm keeping his ledge safe, and for unknown reasons of flawed psychic wiring, haven't sent him a message to arrange the give-back? That is if you're not skiing? :)

not to hijack (like anyone cares anyway); but I believe that actor was indeed a highly skilled climber that brought technical ability into the cgi character by way of those digital sensors on his body. Anyone??

I sure hope the girls(my new tenants) bought a snow shovel. If you care to post again later I would appreciate your updates from Morrison/ Bear Creek Canyon area .

I live off of N. Turkey Creek, so I probably have a bit more than Idledale, but I'll keep you posted nonetheless. I had to get out the yardstick for the latest measurement. Up to 14.5", still snowing hard.

Shaun, No such thing as a failure in a climbing trip when you come back home in one piece. It's just giving you another opportunity to go back! Cheers john "Sometimes you have to climb it in your mind a couple of times before you are ready to actually climb it." RR

Just got down from hiking on Pike's. It was like being in a snow globe.
