Access Issue: No overnight camping on PG&E property Details

Noticed several tents while walking into the emeralds climbing area this last weekend ( 5/20/17 ). PG&E (Pacific Gas and Electric) has posted several signs at the gate and other areas that state camping is NOT allowed. Please respect this so that access does not become an issue! Description

Fun little beginner crag bolted (in 2018) to teach beginning climbers. Short TR routes range from 5.4 to 5.6+, mostly "one move" cruxes. There are rappel anchors further back on the top for a short rap down slab down the "Merit Badge" route (introduction to rappelling). Plenty of room for spectators. Most routes are 1 or 2 move cruxes but generally very easy.

Getting There

Located between Convocation Boulder and The Oasis. Walk uphill from the Convocation Boulder area to where the trail flattens out. Turn right and walk through the trees until you get to the rock wall, turn right again and follow the rock wall until you reach the area.

You'll find a trail that heads south from the clearing/flat spot that heads to the base of the wall.
