Description
With a large cave full of wave sculpted dolerite sport routes and many classics, The Paradiso is a scenic sea cliff that offers highly textured routes at a large range of grades. With afternoon sun, and walls that are frequntly wet from humidity and sea spray, locals typically aim to get here around noon.
Getting There
60-90 minute walk from the car park. Start hiking on the Mt. Brown trail past a couple lookouts and the blowhole. After walking along a ~150m curved section of boardwalk, you will be directly above the Parrot Shelf cliffs. 50m after the boardwalk, when the main trail curves left, take a small track downhill to the right and then continue along a series of slabs. The access to the cliff is at the end of the slab, by staying right and going down a 2m easy downclimb (baby or dog here would be ill advised).
In high-swells, the down-climb is impassable and ill advised. Instead you can rap into the cliff. Two sets of U-bolt anchors are directly above 'High Noon' and 'Spongebob'
