Description Suggest change

Deiters Rock is a short cliff of high quality limestone right next to the Niagara river. Be carful as the river rises and lowers periodically and the landing may be submerged in water. at time of writing there are 4 recorded climbs on this rock with room for a traverse nearby. We named area after our late friend Deiter who helped us establish the lines we put up that day. May his memory live on in all who enjoy climbing in this beautiful place.

Getting There Suggest change

From the whirlpool area travel upriver 20ish minutes on small trails that go partially up the side of the escarpment. You will cross a small creek before descending back down to the river. There are no trails that follows the base of the river and you will get turned around by talus and water. we have tried. when you find yourself under the cable car you are in the right place.
