The whirlpool area is refreshing change of pace from the bustling boulder field of the Niagara glen. As the glen gets major attention from climbers there are some boulders that have gone unnoticed in this beautiful area. get ready for pristine limestone without polish next to the churning Niagara river.

Getting There Suggest change

Park at the whirlpool parking lot and display your Niagara parks parking pass on your dash. Descend the well traveled staircase to the base of the whirlpool area. You can follow the water downstream to some boulders that get afternoon sun. The writer is aware that climbing and ascents have been made in this area but unaware of the location of the records.

Follow a small trail upriver to Deiter's rock and the rapids boulders areas.
