Description Suggest change

This is a semi-chossy area that's worth visiting for the views alone. There are around 25 climbs here, all overlooking Lake Wakatipu. Grades range from 5.6 to 5.11c. There are local guidebooks available for purchase with details on the routes. Helmets are strongly recommended, as there is a lot of loose rock here.

Getting There Suggest change

The approach is short but steep. The approach begins on the Arawata Terrace trail—typing "Arawata Track" in Google Maps will take you straight to the trailhead. Parking is available on Moss Lane. From the Arawata Track sign, continue on the trail for approximately five minutes until you see a trail that branches out and upward to the right. You'll know you're on the right path when you pass a powerline box with a Deuter sticker on the side. The trail will take you directly to the crag. For moderately paced hikers, the approach will take around 15 minutes.
