Description Suggest change

This is a sunny crag on the way to Sheepshead, making it ideal for cooler weather. The left-most route goes into the shade about 11:00 am, and by 3pm, most of the routes are in the shade. The routes are all bolted and well-protected and range from 100 - 120.'  70m rope required!

Note:  There are a couple of routes on the west-facing part of this wall, and a couple of routes on the very right of this amphitheater that are described in Tanya Bok's book.

Getting There Suggest change

Walk in the trail as if you are headed to Sheepshead, and in about 10 minutes you drop into a wash, and then walk up a little rise. At the top of the rise, look for a trail to the left that descends to a gate and another wash on the other side of the gate. Follow the trail along pretty flat terrain in and out of the wash for another 5 minutes where you will reach a hill with the fence-line on the right. Hike up the hill until you see where the fence has fallen over. Cross the fence and hike downhill, between trees, and sidehill traverse the rock until you reach the amphitheater. Cut left up to the base of the first climb.
