Description
Climbing at Ode Hollow is an incredibly unique experience for Arkansas. Located near the headwaters of the beautiful Big Piney Creek at the edge of Home Valley, sits some of the best stone in the Ozarks. What Ode lacks in size, it well makes up for in route density and quality. The cliff is broken into two main walls both stylistically and geologically. The left (Moon) wall hosts the steepest climbing at the crag and the biggest huecos you've ever seen. The right wall features the crag’s warm-ups as well as some technical test-pieces on the hardest sandstone in the Ozarks. What is sure to be the longest and steepest approach in Arkansas leads you down to the pristine waters of the Big Piney (the first ascensionists used waders and sticks to cross the river in high water conditions). From here a short hike up leads you to some of the coolest climbing in Arkansas, where you are sure to find seclusion.

Getting There
From the town of Deer, Arkansas take County Road 29 approximately 5.7 miles southwest down into Home Valley into the small community of Limestone, then take a slight left to continue on County Road 29 for approximately another 2.0 miles. Take a sharp right onto the old logging road/ATV trail and park in front of the berm. There is a new USFS sign blocking the road. Please respect this road closure.
