Description
The Swing Station is home to the steepest climbing at Fitzgerald. Climbs range in height from 35-50 feet, regardless of the grade or height, they pack a pump. The majority of these routes have fixed draws and mussy hooks for lower-offs. Opportunities for long and pumpy link-ups are plentiful. Beware loose rock, rock quality varies from ok to excellent and some routes are still shedding holds. Stick clip and helmet are recommended when climbing at Fitzgerald.
Getting There
Park at and approach from Bayyari Park. Follow the Stage Coach Trail loop east, crossing the private drive (do not trespass), find the technical climbing sign and take the climber trail south until you meet the cliff. Swing Station is the obvious steep wall directly south (climber's right of the Schoolhouse).
