Description

Guarded by the Natillons Glacier, a craggy subpeak on the Charmoz ridge that holds two popular and aesthetic lines on its southwest aspect.

Getting There

The Petit Charmoz can be reached from both the Plan de I'Aiguille and the Montenvers station with each route having its own benefits. Guide books differ on the best approach but taking the Mar de Glacé Trail to directly beneath the Aiguille de I'M and ascending directly to the Nantillons glacier seems both easier and safer than contouring along the various moraines from the Plan as is often described.
