Description Suggest change

Two decent, easy to get to boulders to add to the area library, with a couple of the better lines of the area and a collection of sometimes less distinct or short 1 or 2 star problems that are still worthy for training. Beware, many of the lines are quite fingery for the grade, so knowing when to let go is a good skill to bring along.

Getting There Suggest change

The Acorn Boulders, are further west on Old Mountain Rd than than the ones where you park at the bottom of the hill. They are about 500 feet in the woods directly across from the intersection with Oak Hill Drive. Parking at the road junction is problematic, so park completely off the road a few hundred yards west where there is a gate to a now almost completely overgrown forest road. Walk in 20-30 feet past the gate and turn off left paralleling the road a minute to get past a frog pond then angling more away from the road (currently some cairns) It is just a few minutes to the main cluster with the namesake Acorn boulder  and the one with the razor tips crack..
