All of the crags within the New River Gorge proper are on national parklands, and drone use is prohibited here. There has been some discussion about places to launch drones that are not on park property, and then flying them over the gorge. This is super poor form; don't do it. Park regulations prohibit all drone use over the boundaries without a permit.
Description
Roadside bouldering area just past Beauty Mountain. Shady area with rock reminiscent of Stonefort. A good amount of moderate to hard boulders here (v5-11).
Getting There
Continue on Lansing Edmond Road past Beauty Mountain Rd until taking a right onto Buckhorn Rd. Follow Buckhorn until the very end, where you will see an electrical station. Park in the fork out of the way(on the left), if this fork has more than three cars park somewhere else. DO NOT BLOCK GATES OR ATV TRAILS. Once parked look for a small trail leading under a wooden powerline. Follow the ATV trail and take only right hand turns. The boulders will be on your right. If you walk for farther than 3 minutes you chose the wrong trail. There are multiple ATV trails so make sure you chose the first one off the gravel area near the power station.
