Description

Driving towards Placid on 73, you can catch a glimpse of Bear Cubby. This silent, secluded, idyllic cubby in the woods offers hard mixed climbing.

Getting There

Parking: Large pull off across the road from the Pitchoff East trailhead (often used for the Quarry).
Directions: Walk the road towards Keene 200-300'. Enter the woods on the same side of the road you parked and cross a stream. Follow the valley, aiming left past some boulders, and circle left around a shoulder before turning slightly right on gentler terrain to gain the cliff base.
