Description Suggest change

This area is the perfect compliment to Bayle Mountain.  Some large erratics scattered throughout the woods with a very adventure type feel. The land appeared to be set up for development but someone bought it up to protect it so it seems.  Nothing is posted and please do not climb on any boulders in people's yards.  I found the rock to be a bit more friendly than other stuff in the area and found some of my best problems here.  The Lovell River is also near the parking area and can offer a great(cold!) dip when temperatures are high.  As with most areas in the Ossipees please keep a low profile and pick up any trash you come across.

Getting There Suggest change

From Rt 16 turn southwest onto Pine Hill Rd(Pizza Barn across street).  Please use caution and drive slow as the roads are mostly dirt and have narrow sections.  Drive @3.4 miles and before you get to the end of Pine Hill Rd look for a grey/silver gate on the right before Comeau Dr.  Park here and please do not block the gate.  There are a few spots along the Lovell River also for one car.
