Description
The most prominent mountain as seen from Taghia village is Oujdad. This impressive formation has routes on all sides with the shorter north face being the most obvious. But the some of the largest and most inspiring walls are located on the south face with routes up to 680m (2230'). The popular hiking trail, the Taghia Berber Passage circles around Oujdad from the north west side of the mountain, below the north face of Tuyat and to the main attraction, the berber bridge which I can only describe as a sketchy patchwork of rebar, logs and rocks! This trail is also how you get to the routes on the south face of Oujdad and beyond. If you're looking for some more obscure adventures you can head further back to Tadrate or Agnabou n" Tissofra, both of which are hidden from view by Oujdad when looking from Taghia village.
