Description
This wall extends from just right of the long tunnel, all the way to the back of the Island, roughly 200 feet. Although the wall soars to almost 200 feet tall, there are very few routes that climb to the top. Most of the climbs are single pitch endeavors from 40 to 90 feet tall. You will find mostly moderate routes starting at 5.8 with a wide dispersion of grades up to 5.12+. The North facing wall might see sun briefly at sunrise but stays shady the rest of the day, making it a Summer climbing destination.
Getting There
West of Cody at the far west end of Shoshone Canyon, you will find a parking area on the North side of the highway sandwiched in between the very long tunnel and a very short tunnel. This parking lot accommodates about 10 vehicles. The Tunnel Wall is on your left extending away from the long tunnel, it is about 30 seconds from your car.
