Description Suggest change

A handful of routes are still in progress, but the majority of the crag is ready to rip.

Named for the large tulip poplar that had fallen onto the cliff prior to development, this quaint collection of quality moderates on gently overhanging, gray rock make for a fun outing for the whole gang. Provides great warm-ups for the more difficult lines at nearby Throwback Crag & The Getaway.

Getting There Suggest change

Park in the Flat Holler lot and hike up the gravel road on the right side of the parking area, towards the Getaway and Throwback crag. From the small pulloff directly beneath Throwback crag, cut up left onto the old road grade following red arrows marking the multipurpose trail. Continue around the bend, parallelling the main road, until the trail to the The Lumber Yard appears on the left. Follow this for 5 minutes past two switchbacks, a narrow land bridge, and a final steep uphill to the base of the slab wall. The first route you encounter is "Log Skid" (5.10c).
