Getting There
Park in the maintained parking area used by Azure Mountain hikers, then follow the main trail for 7-8 mins, (1/3 of a mile) to the remains of a stone chimney with a small creek (often dry) . Follow the herd path which leaves the main trail at a "10:00 o clock" direction (the main hiking trail goes straight and up). The herd path should be easy to follow and is well marked with rocks. After about 10 minutes you'll cross 2 wet patches, then soon after the trail turns right and goes uphill. Continue on the trail for 5 minutes then you should be coming to the steep part. The trail leans left while going uphill and the Equinox Face is almost directly above you. The terrain is leaf covered, rocky, 3rd class here, and care is needed. Obvious signs of hiking lead to the Equinox Face.
On climbers right side of the face, there is a small plateau with enough room for plenty of climbers and their equipment (44.32328 074.29882
The trail splits just before it reaches the Equinox Face. It's tempting to take the left fork to reach the Main Face, but this trail quickly fades (just below the Planet Terror Face), and it's too high on the mountain.
