Description
A small, but excellent crag that has roughly a handful of routes in each of a wide range of difficulties (5.6/4b to 5.12/7b+). Around 20 routes total, most are labelled with paint and 45-60' in height. The rock is mostly good quality dolomite and the more popular routes are pretty clean and are starting to show signs of traffic. Some of the routes have enhanced holds (mostly drilled pockets). There are five distinct faces - three facing NE and two facing SE. The views of the Rosengarten, especially the Vajolet Towers, are exceptional.
Getting There
Between Tiers/Tires and St. Zyprian/San Cipriano is a small, white chapel. Turn NW here in the direction of Weisslahnbad. Follow the steep road to a roundabout, go around 340degrees (last exit) to a large parking area. Drive through the parking area and park at the last tall light on the left (just before the road forks). Walk up a steepening dirt road to the NW (opposite of the light, 'no mushroom picking' sign) and continue straight/slightly left for another 50m when this road makes a sharp turn to the right. Turn right and continue to the crag on a narrow, steep, dolomite gravel path. Approach time: 8-10 minutes.
