Access Issue: Fees and rangers Details

To hike up longido you’ll need to pay a small fee to the local authorities and get a ranger to hike up with you for protection against wild animals.

Description

Rock is good quality and solid. Only downside is there is a lot of lichen, but climbing is still very possible. Cold and windy in the morning, but after 11am weather tends to clear up.

Getting There

You’ll need to hike up with a ranger starting in Longido town. The hike is 4-5 hours and there is a beautiful view from the top of the mountain. The hike is worth the trip, and the climbing is an optional bonus. Talk to the local tourism office for details.
