Description
The Sea Buttress Walls are a series of wall that include the Bee Buttress, Middle Tier, Top Tier, Lourie Cave, and the SEA Buttress (Chandelier Corner/Deep Blue Wall). The routes face the ocean and can blow you around if the wind is howling. Everything here is traditional, and the majority of the routes rely on ab anchors in situ so it would be wise to bring some extra tat in case the route you are on has not been done recently. Multipitches are on the climber's left or northern side and the single pitch routes are mostly around Hout Corner/Bay side.
Getting There
Park at the Victorskloof Heritage Walk site or the parking for Suikerbossie. GPS coordinates 34°00'40.9"S 18°21'04.8"E
Head up the trail going towards the ocean, it will take you through a forest. Take the trail heading up the hill, cut right at a T in the trail and then meander back left to reach a steep section of nice hiking trail. Follow this until you are over the steep section, keep heading up the hill gently to reach staples drilled into the wall. Scramble up and then continue hiking up the trail. The first wall that you will see is called Little Fish. Continue around the corner and you will be at the Deep Blue Wall just a few meters left of this wall when the rock begins to turn orange is the Chandelier Wall. To reach the other walls continue beyond.
