Description Suggest change

Plattorna (The Slabs), lying just east of the main cliffs of Åkersberget, is nice for beginners and warmup with some fun crimp and crack moves. Inre Plattan, the northern of the two, is lower-angle and has three bolts on top. It also is frequently used by a local guiding company. Yttre plattan, the more southern, has many cracks at top that take gear for anchors. While the rock is featured enough on both to climb anywhere, there are three logical lines on Inre Plattan and two on Yttre Plattan. Just south of Yttre plattan is a natural corner (Plattans Hörn) with more options on nice rock.

Getting There Suggest change

Follow the trail to Åkersberget then veer left before descending the last 100 m to the water, toward a small black cabin. Use this trail to access tops of the slabs, but avoid the cabin itself, which is on private land.
