Description

This sunny limestone crag has routes up to three pitches in length. The routes are predominantly slabby, with cruxes being at short, steep bulges. The cliff is heavily bolted, making it possible to mix and match pitches. There are many rappel anchors to descend the cliff with a single 60 meter rope. Because there are numerous small terraces with loose pebbles and stones, it's probably best to stay clear of other parties and wear a helmet at this cliff.

Getting There

The parking area for both the Plaisirwandl and Big Wall is located just southwest of Ruhpolding at 47.751793, 12.629302.

From the parking area, walk the dirt woods road roughly south for about five minutes (roughly 400 yards) to reach the south-facing Plaisirwandl (coordinates of 47.749170, 12.629890). For the Big Wall, continue southwest on the dirt woods road about 70 yards to a fork in the road. Follow the right road slightly uphill a few more yards and you'll see the large wall on your right.
