Description Suggest change

Coal Point, it's below Diamond Point...get it? Anyway, most folks that have been around here a lot have climbed on the Upper Raleigh Formation, probably without even knowing it, especially the boulderers. This was my first foray into the Upper Raleigh Formation cliff line, and I was very pleasantly surprised with what I found. In fact, it started a whole spree of sub cliff developing for me.

Getting There Suggest change

Walk straight downhill from the large boulder underneath diamond point. Follow faint deer paths down skier's right (climber's left) and drop around the climber's left side of the lower cliff band. Traverse in under the cliff
