Description Suggest change

Originally recognized for its quality stone in 2018 by Nolan Robertson, this Southwest-facing cliff offers short, techy climbing on igneous rock and is perhaps only a starting off point for the potential surrounding Elbert Creek.

Getting There Suggest change

From the group site at the end of Chris Park Rd., start hiking north/east on the "Miner's Trace" Trail, recognized by a very out of place chunk of Telluride Conglomerate just up trail from the road. Take the right fork just past this, and continue hiking until you arrive atop a broken up cliff band overlooking the Elbert Creek drainage. Leave the trail here, hike down into the drainage, follow the creek south for 30-40 yards or so, and eventually cross this swampy area to arrive on the east bank. Continue south, and hike over a saddle and into another drainage lined with short cliffs on both sides. Eventually the wall will come into view on the left, just beyond an obvious powerline which spans the drainage.
