Description
Beautiful red gneiss crag with over 130 routes from 4a to 7c. Has been a training area / local crag since the 1980’s, but the rock is durable and stays crisp, in contrast to Jura limestone. Blocky and in places steep, with some nice crimping faces as well. You can find shade at one part of the crag or another, making it a good summer destination. You can cool off in the Alb river below.
A short drive across the border from Zurich draws many Swiss climbers as well as the locals.
Names and grade are painted on or marked with plaques.
