Description
An out of-the-way micro crag that isn't too far from the road and offers a nice variety of climbing. This is a 4 season cliff. In fact most of the routes so far were developed and climbed in winter. That fact is especially interesting since this area also holds some of the best ice climbing at Russell. You can climb a few pitches of ice and then climb some rock in the same session.
The Nook gets sun early and plenty of shade in the afternoon. The routes are a smooth mix of sport routes and trad routes. The rock quality is mostly good but like with all Russell cliffs. The rock is a bit soft so be aware of possible exfoliating rock.

Getting There
Hike the pink tagged trail from the parking gate. The first cliff you see is The Welcome Wall. Continue along the trail another minute or two and you will see a spot where a collection of downed trees were cut to make the trail passable. At this spot take a sharp left turn and hike along some downed tree trunks. A trail in progress will take form as you follow the path of least resistance. You are heading up a small gully. AT the top of the gully on the left is the wall you are looking for.
