Description Suggest change

This area has 2,800 acres of forest and swampland in Cookson State Forest in Sandisfield and New Marlborough. The scattered erratic boulders are of an exceptionally high quality fine-grained granitic gneiss. The approaches are long (at least 1-2 miles each way), but it is easy traveling on established snowmobile trails. There is no apparent evidence of prior climbing. More information is coming soon.

Getting There Suggest change

There are small parking areas on Hotchkiss Rd. in New Marlborough and on Norfolk Rd. in south Sandisfield. Both roads are unpaved, 4WD is recommended.
