Description Suggest change

Short, shaded crag with a variety of routes ranging from 5.6-5.12. Not crowded and has a nice, easy approach hike to the crag. Plenty of opportunity for new routes and boulder problems. Always double check bolts before climbing because some may be in need of new protection.

Getting There Suggest change

Monterey Crag is located in Monterey, TN. If you are traveling on I-40 get off at exit 301 then follow highway 62 east towards Clark Range, after roughly 6 miles turn right onto Baylee Blvd. Take a right on to Connar Drive.

Park along the road next to lot 10, there is a sign on a tree that says "10". Do not park at the end of the cul-de-sac and use the old trail, this trail is on private property. From lot 10 there is a trail to the top of the bluff, wooden ladders are in place that give access to the base of the cliffs. To access climbing head west along base of cliff the first routes you come to will be Suzi's Sister and Suzi the Prom Queen.
