Description

The Fortress area is pleasant and offers plenty of shade. Most of the boulders have flat landings and are easy to find.

Getting There

From the parking, hike east on the road for a couple hundred feet until you spot a pull out on the right with a historical sign. Hike up this trail for awhile, until it levels out. Keep an eye out on the right for a cairn and faint trail. Follow this trail through the trees, keeping an eye out for boulders once you reach a broad, flat area.

Alternately, you can approach this from the western areas (Gigarete, Choss and Moss), but it will require a bit of bushwacking.
