Description
The Dihedral Wall was a surprisingly high quality find! Located on the west side of the lake at the far south end of the Stonehill climbing area. It consists of 5 long routes covering the entire 5.10 range. Expect fun crack climbing and a mix of Stonehill slab crimping.
Getting There
I will include a beta photo for the approach.
After crossing the Koocanusa bridge, turn left and head south for 7.3 miles. Park in the large paved pull-out as you would for the Naked Cliffs.
Walk down the road until you can get around the roadcuts then head uphill and right as you walk under the Naked Cliffs.
Keep walking along this bench and you will see carins. The carins will take you up a short talus slope then left up the next tier.
Step right before the downed log onto the ledge traverse. Continue up and left following carins.
Once you are on the talus below the big wall (The Acropolis) traverse right until you see the scrubbed lines of the Dihedral Wall.
The route Monochopsis will be on your left and the rest of the routes are up a 30' 5.7 approach pitch with 2 bolts. Belay your partner up and relax unroped on the big comfy ledge.
