All raptor closures have ended as of 8/13/26. Below is historical info.

2026 Seasonal Raptor Closure details: fs.usda.gov/sites/nfs/files…
The seasonal closure to protect peregrine falcons is in effect for some crags on the west side of Lake Koocanusa. Closed crags include:
Dihedral Wall
Koocanusa Crags (Hidden Buttress, Great White Wall, Pit Stop, The Ruins, Upper and Lower Grandstand)
Naked Cliff
Science Lab
Sunburst Crags
Dawn Walls
Don Juan
All other westside crags are unaffected by the closure. The closure ends August 31.

Description
The first route established on the wall and the splitter looking dihedral you can catch a glimpse of from the road. There isn't an easy way to get to the top of this cliff so it was first climbed aid solo.
Starts with some interesting moves as you try to wiggle in a small cam in the seam. A couple thrutchy moves later and you get a good .3 placement. Continue up into the dihedral and get some good jams and locks higher up.
