Description
Quarry Proper has short, 40-50 foot routes within the quarry itself and longer pitches over the cliff towards CO Hwy 141. Most routes will have the name and grade tagged on the anchors. I think of this area as "reverse" cragging with many (if not all) of the routes being able to access the anchors and set up immediate topropes. It is a great place for beginner climbers and for climbers looking to get on something harder as a toprope hero. Training anchors are available to practice on at the northeast corner of the quarry with an attached fix line.
Please be respectful of your impact, and pack out whatever you pack in. Wind tends to whip through and can send your trash over the cliff edge. Plenty of trash has been previously cleaned out from being a previous worksite and high school hangout spot.
The quarry has routes facing pretty much all directions making great shade during the summer months and great sun during the fall and spring.

Getting There
Turn left on to Divide Road (as your are southbound) off of CO Hwy141. This is a dirt road. From the turnoff, drive approximately 2.1 miles to the top of the Quarry Wall cliff. Park on the right hand side, but make sure to pull off enough as RVs and side-by-sides like to romp through. The approach is 3.1 seconds from your car. Access the routes by setting up a TR or walk in, via a fix line, on the northeast corner.
